Three Legs, Grand Champion Eligible
AMF Boise
Solid Black Buck · DOB 3/25/2025 · 3 lbs 12 oz (Fall 2026)
This is our Boise boy. He has earned three legs with class and variety wins and is Grand Champion eligible. He’s registration eligible, and his leg certificates are included, so the new owner can register him and apply for his Grand Champion certificate. He’s a competitive animal who places respectably in tough classes, though he hasn’t yet taken Best of Breed or Best Opposite Sex of Breed.
The real story is his pedigree. Boise is straight Cody, top to bottom, with no filler and no outcrosses to work around. Every generation behind him is the same proven line, so what you see in him is what you can expect to breed. If you’ve been trying to get Cody into your barn without paying show-string prices, this is your shot.
Honest evaluation: Boise’s strengths are above the shoulders. His head is large, bold, and wide, with a short, well-filled muzzle and plenty of width between the eyes. His ears are thick and well-furred with rounded tips, hang with no ear control, and sit on a full, well-defined crown. His coat is dense and glossy, and his bone is short and heavy. He’s deep and full to the table through the hindquarter. Where he falls short is up front. He could use more width through the chest, and his head mount sits a little low, which is what keeps him from topping the table and why he’s priced as a herd buck rather than a show prospect. Paired with does strong in shoulder and head mount, he has a lot of head, ear, and crown type to offer.
He’s an eager, reliable breeder who will breed any doe you put in front of him, and he has settled six does for us, with hopefully two more in our barn right now. We want to be upfront about our results. He throws very big kits, and our does run petite with smaller litters in the summer heat, which is where our losses came from this year. Only two of the six litters produced live kits. One litter of three had one peanut and two healthy normals. One litter of five came during a heat wave, with four regular-sized kits lost on the wire and one peanut alive in the box. The other four litters had just one or two very large kits that our petite or first-time does couldn’t deliver. We recommend pairing him with a larger, experienced doe in cooler weather.
He’s sweet tempered and easy to handle, with one honest note: he likes a clean cage with good enrichment, kept out of sight of the does, or he’ll get himself dirty. Give him that and he’s a low-maintenance, hardworking buck.
We’re going to miss his energy in the barn. He’s currently bred to two of our does, and we’re hoping to keep some of his genetics before he moves on to his new home.
$500, which includes his feed and care through Convention, transport to Convention, and all associated convention fees. He will not be entered in the show; we’re bringing him to Convention for pickup only.

False dwarf — companion or showmanship only, not for breeding.
TBB Agent Argyle
Broken Black Tort Buck · DOB 5/6/2026 · Weight at 5 months: 3lbs 13 ounces
Argyle is a sweet junior (almost senior) buck who is a false dwarf, or normal — which utterly breaks our hearts, because he is GORGEOUS and has an amazing temperament. As well typed as he is, a false dwarf buck isn’t suitable for a breeding program, since he’ll throw very large kits that can injure the doe during birth and lead to dystocia, and he would be disqualified on the show table for exceeding the breed’s maximum weight.
He can be a little shy at first. He’ll hang out at the back of the cage when you come up to him, but leave the door open and busy yourself with something else, and he’ll work his way to the front to look out and see what you’re up to. A few oats or a sprig of parsley will tempt him forward faster. Out of the cage, he explores at his own pace, curious without being spastic about it, though he has been known to throw in a joy hop or two when the treats are especially good. Once he knows you, he’ll come up and boop you for pets; it just takes him a minute to warm up to someone new.
He hasn’t been specifically worked for showmanship, so he’d be starting from scratch there. What he will be is a wonderful companion, and that’s where we’d prefer he lands: a household looking for a friendly, good-looking buck to simply enjoy and welcome into the family.

Bred to Boise — Due October 11
TBB Princess Vespa
Black Tort · DOB 3/20/2026
This girl comes with an amazing pedigree (Annie and AJ), and we’re excited to see her grow into it! She is still young and developing into her final type, but here’s our honest read so far:
Her shoulder is a little long, but she has a beautiful face. She has nice ear carriage, though her ears are a touch folded at the base. Her crown is visible from above but reads a bit modest, which could fill in after she molts. Up front, she’s showing nice width through the chest and shoulders, with good, proportionate bone in her front legs. Her fur is amazing and shiny.
Temperament-wise, she’s shy, but she is cage aggressive if you reach your hand in. For this reason, she should go to an experienced rabbitry household rather than a student looking for a showmanship rabbit. Her mother is much the same way, but she has produced exceptionally typed, sweet brokens that consistently place at the top of their class. Vespa seems to be the long-shouldered, spicy taco outlier of the family, but we anticipate she’ll be as excellent a brood doe as her mom, which is why we’re test breeding her.
With that pedigree behind her, we think Vespa is one to watch as she grows out.
Update: Vespa is bred to Boise and due October 11 — she’s absolutely packing at least one baby at this point! She’ll be available either once we’re able to foster out her kits, or as soon as she’s finished weaning them.

TBB Averi Avo
Broken Black Doe · DOB 5/7/2026
Show or Brood Potential — Out of Toons and Red
TBB Averi Avo
Broken Black Doe · DOB 5/7/2026
Averi is being worked specifically with showmanship in mind, and she’d make an excellent 4-H, FFA, or showmanship project for a kid who wants a rabbit that cooperates and poses well. We’ve been handling her regularly, and her calm, easy temperament makes her a great fit for a junior handler.
She’s out of Toons and Red, two of our barn favorites, and her pedigree carries LOL, Brocks, and Rose Meadow behind her — that’s a lot of quality packed into one little doe.
Type-wise, she’s got an excellent blanket broken pattern with no disqualifications, clean markings that carry through the body, and a lovely head — broad and short-faced with nice cheek/jowl fullness, exactly the bold head type Hollands are judged so heavily on. Her ears are proportional and well-furred, lopping correctly and evenly on both sides for a good, balanced ear set. She shows good depth through the body and a nicely rounded topline, with the kind of bone and width we like to see develop as she matures. She’s matured nicely since her junior coat and is currently going through her molt, so she’ll tighten up and show even better once she’s through it.
She’d do just as well as a foundation doe for someone building on these lines, but her handling and temperament really make her stand out as a showmanship prospect.
$300 for Convention pickup, or $250 for local pickup.
Available to go home after Convention. Message to hold her.

Brock’s Mellow
Black Tort · Foundation Doe
Brock’s Mellow was our very first brood doe. She gave us our first litters and taught us the ins and outs of rabbit breeding and births — she made it look easy in retrospect, though at the time, we were living through pure trial by fire. Every one of her babies has earned at least one leg, with several going on to take BOB and BOSB. Her legacy lives on in the barn through Muffin, Red, Momo, and Averi. She’s since moved on to help be a foundation for another youth breeder near Sacramento, CA.

Our ORIGINAL best gal. The current Queen of the house. Doesn’t like being in the barn with all the peasants.

Cherry was the second doe we brought into the barn, and we’re grateful for what she taught us as beginning rabbit breeders, and for the legacy she leaves behind in our herd.
